Are you trying to plan your next date? You want it to be somewhere special, and you want to make sure that your date has a great time, but finding the perfect spot isn’t always easy. One option that you might want to consider is a picnic. For many couples a picnic could be a fun and a romantic way to spend a day. However, you have to be aware that not all people are going to be as enamored with the idea of sitting on the ground and eating sandwiches. Your first step is to make sure that your date is open to the idea and that it is a good idea. The second step is in making the picnic memorable.
Does Your Date Want a Picnic?
If the person you are dating doesn’t like to be outside, then a picnic outdoors is probably going to be out of the question. If it is your first date with the person, you can try to get some clues about the likes and dislikes. If he or she enjoys getting outside, going to the beach, or biking, then you can be relatively sure that the date will have a good time on a picnic. A picnic could be a good surprise date, but you might simply want to ask if a picnic sounds like fun if you are uncertain. Surprises are good, but sometimes a bad surprise can lead that first date to be the last date!
What Food to Bring
One of the things that you will have to think about when you are preparing for the picnic is the type of food that you are going to bring. With today’s modern picnic baskets, you are free to bring just about anything you could imagine. You can even find picnic coolers that can help to keep food fresh. Ask if your date has any food allergies. You do not want to serve something that he or she will not be able to eat.
Make Your Picnic a Cherished Memory
Find a nice location for the picnic to make sure that it is memorable. In a local park near a lake or a pond, or at the beach is a nice idea. Make sure that you choose a location that’s public though. You don’t want the new person in your life to think you are a crazy person bringing them to a secluded location!
