Wine Totes Add To Your Romantic Picnic

| April 16, 2011

Couples are always looking for new and exciting things that they can do together. Although picnicking is a little tough in the winter, there are three other long seasons in which you and your loved one can spend a little time cuddled up on a picnic blanket. So what exactly does it take to turn a regular old picnic into a romantic afternoon getaway? From picnic baskets, to wine totes, and more, there are plenty of items to transform your picnic into an experience you’ll both remember.

The first thing that you are going to need is a picnic basket. Picnic baskets are available in so many different shapes and sizes. You can impress your sweetheart with a classic picnic basket, made of rattan or bamboo, complete with a comfortable red blanket inside. There are also picnic baskets that are more modernized. These are generally made of polyester and the best ones are insulated so that your meal will stay cold. All picnic baskets are made with handles, which make them easier for you to carry if you have to walk for a while to find that perfect, romantic spot.

Speaking of packing a picnic basket, you are going to need something to drink with your meal, right?  Bringing a bottle of wine along on a picnic can turn your average picnic in the park to an incredibly romantic affair. Thanks to the invention of wine totes, couples all over are picnicking and keeping their beverages cold. There are wine totes available that have a more simple appeal, and then there are some that are much more stylish. When you’re shopping for wine totes, make sure to purchase one that is fully insulated and includes a corkscrew so that you don’t have to remember to pack one.

You’re also going to need a picnic blanket. We’re not talking about the old comforter that your dog sleeps on sometimes. We’re talking about a spacious, comfortable picnic blanket. When you’re trying to choose the right blanket for this occasion, make sure that you feel the fabric to ensure it’s comfortable enough for you both to sit on. Additionally, you’ll want to make sure that it’s large enough for both of you to stretch out and enjoy your meal. It’s also important to choose a picnic blanket that is waterproof, just in case you’re taking your picnic after a short, spring rain shower.
